4.9 or lower - easily understood by a 4th grader or younger
5.0-5.9 - easily understood by a 5th-6th grader
6.0-6.9 - easily understood by a 7th-8th grader
7.0-7.9 - easily understood by a 9th-10th grader
8.0-8.9 - easily understood by a 11th-12th grader
9.0-9.9 - easily understood by a college student
10.0+ - easily understood by a college graduate
