What is (178/8)/(1.8+0.7) I am doing ctcmath so I do not forget what I learned and the answer, the calculater did not give a answer that I saw on the I guess multiple choice.
178/8 can be reduced to 89/4.
1.8 + 0.7 can be reduced to 2.5 which can be written as 5/2.
(89/4) / (5/2) = (89/4) x (2/5) (change from division to multiplication)
= (89/2) x (1/5) (cancel the 2s)
= 89/10 or 8.9
