Basically i need to calculate the odds of picking 1 combination when having to choose a letter between a-z and 3 digit number from 000-999

If you are choosing 1 letter out of 26 and 3 numbers out of 10 numbers(0 to 9), the combination isn't 26^999 !!!. Find out the combinations for car licenses such as: 123 - ABC.

Number of possible combinations

 

We have 26 letters and 1000 numbers

 

26  * 10^3   =   26000

 

 

So  the odds of picking a winning combination  is
