First multiply the terms in brackets by the -4:

3.07 - 7.3h = -4*(-19.7h) - (-4)*11.53

3.07 - 7.3h = 78.8h + 46.12       remembering that two negatives make a positive

Subtract 46.12 from both sides

-43.05 -7.3h = 78.8h

Add 7.3h to both sides

-43.05 = 86.1h

Divide both sides by 49.19

h = -43.05/86.1 or h = -0.5
