-3^2=-9
Negative x negative equals positive.
-3 x -3 = 9
Be careful, here....
(-3)^2 = (- 3) (- 3) = 9 ......however.....
-3^2 = - (3)(3) = - 9 .... the exponent doesn't appyl to the " - "
