What is a binomial ​

Binomial is a lump of things with only 1 '+' sign or '-' sign.

 

Example:

z + 7 is a binomial.

y³ + 1 is a binomial.

x² - 3x is a binomial.

 

Be careful that 2^x - 3^2x is not a binomial...... x cannot be an index.

 

Some easy exercises...... by me.

 

1) Is x + 1 a binomial?

 

2) Is s² + 2s + 1 a binomial?

 

3) Is (2x + 3)² a binomial?

 

**4) Factor x⁴ - 1 to 3 binomials.
