what is csc

Csc (x) is simply the inverse of sin(x) such that Csc(x)= 1/(sin(x)). If I know for instance that the value of sin(x) at some value x is equal to 1/2, I can use some basic algebra to find that Csc(x) at that point is equal to the value 2.
