What is equivalent to 4(x-2)<7x+1   ?

I don't know what you mean by "equivalent".....but we can solve this

 

4(x-2)<7x+1      simplify

 

4x - 8 < 7x + 1       add 8 to both sides and subtract 7x from both sides

 

-3x < 9                  divide both sides by -3 and reverse the inequality sign

 

x  >  -3
