cos(x)= - 0.8. If x and y are complementary, what is sin(y)?

I think I need some clarification.....

Complimentary angles are angles that ADD to 90 degrees.

For an angle to have a NEGATIVE cosine it has to to be >90

Did you meant SUPPLEMENTARY angles (which add to 180 degrees)

 

Am I missing something in my thinking?   Would  120 degrees and -30 degrees be considered 'complimentary' ?

'complimentary'   should be 'complementary'.......BOTH times     Haha
