Slope is the slope a line takes on a coordinate plane. It might be a whole number like 3, or i could be a fraction such as 2/5.

If a line had a slope of 2/5, for example, the line would rise at a rate of 2 up, 5 right, or "rise over run."

For a slope of 3, this is the same thing as 3/1, meaning the line would rise at a rate of 3 up, 1 right.

If the slope is negative, such as -3/2, the line would decline at a rate of 3 down, 2 right.

Hope this helped!
