Solveit, there is no equal sign in the question     surprise

You cannot just add one because you feel like it.      frown          wink      

 

 3(x+y) = 3*x+3*y = 3x+3y

 

That is all you can do to simplify this expression :)

3x+3y=0

x+y=0

x=-y
