We can use Heron's formula  here

 

s = the semi-perimeter  =  [ 13 + 15 + 24]  / 2  =  52/ 2  = 26

 

The area is  given by

 

√ [ s (s - a) (s - b) (s - c)  ]      where a, b, c  are  the sides of the triangle

 

√ [ 26 ( 26 - 13) (26 - 15) (26 - 24)  ] =

 

√ [ 26  * 13 * 11 * 2  ] =

 

√ [26 * 26 * 11] =

 

26√11   in ^2
