What is the difference between rational and irrational numbers

Rational numbers can be expressed as  $$\frac{a}{b}$$    where a and b are integers and a and b have no common factors (except 1)

Irrational numbers cannot be expressed this way :)

Rational Numbers- are integers (Z) like 0 to or 0 to -5 etc... Whole Numbers (W)0 to 5 etc... Natural Numbers(N) 1 to 5 etc... Now Irrational Numbers (I)- is an non terminating non repeating number. Hoped this helped
