what is the distributive property for (x+5)(x+2)

(x + 5)(x + 2)  can be written as

x(x+2) + 5(x + 2) =

x^2 + 2x + 5x + 10 =

x^2 + 7x + 10

Notice that we "distributed" both terms in the first set of parentheses across both terms in the second set of parentheses....!!!
