What is the equation (in graphing form) for the parabola with vertex (2,4) that passes through the point (6,10)?

Get the vertex at (2,4):

y = c(x-2)2 + 4

Find the coefficient c by just plugging in (6,10) for x and y.

10 = c(6-2)2 + 4

6 = 16c

3/8 = c

y = (3/8)(x-2)2 + 4
