y= mx + b   is the equation of a line    when x= 0 you get y intercept   when y= 0 you get x intercept

y = m(0) + b    b= 2

0 = m(-1) + 2       m= 2

y= 2x+2

We have  (−1, 0)  and (0,2)  .....the slope is  [ 2 − 0 ] / [ 0 − (−1)  ]  =  2 / 1   = 2

And the y  intercept = 2

So......y = 2x + 2   is correct

cool cool cool
