3 cot θ  =  - √ 3      divide  both  sides  by  3

cot  θ  =  - √ 3 /  3    =    - 1 / √  3

Note  that  this  is  the  same  as

tan θ  =   - √ 3

This  occurs  at  

θ  =  2pi/3  +  2pi n     and    θ  =  5 pi / 3  +   2 pi n
