A farmer is building a fence to enclose a rectangular area against an existing wall, shown in the figure below Fenced in Region Three of the sides will require fencing and the fourth wall already exists If the farmer has 148 feet of fencing, what is the largest area the farmer can enclose?

You don't have the diagram included.....    Generally a square will enclose the max area.... if one side is a building, then a square with 148/3 = 49 1/3 ft sides would be the biggest .....   area would be     49 1/3 * 49 1/3   ft2
