   The  mean is the average of the numbers. It is easy to calculate: add up all the numbers, then divide by how many numbers there are. In other words it is the sum divided by the count.

   
   
   
   

Here is an example

In a group of 7,8,10,15,20

Add the numbers  7+8+10+15+20=60

Now divide by 5 60/5=12

So 12 is the mean!
