Example:

How many ways can you arrange the letters BANANAS?

Well there is 1 B, there are 3 A's, there are 2 N's and there is one S.

There are a total of 7 letters

So its like this:

\(\frac{7!}{1!3!2!1!}\)

7!/(3!*2!) = 420

So there are 420 ways to arrange the letters BANANAS
