What is the ratio of the volume of the cylinder to the volume of the cone, when x=2 and y=2?     

 

The ratio is 3 to 1     

 

Volume of a Cylinder .......  V  =  π r² h    where r is the radius of the base and h is the height.     

Volume of a Cone      .......  V  =  (1/3) π r² h     where r is the radius of the circular base and h is the height.
