You have it upside-down Anonymous!  The slope is (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1), so (6 - 8)/(6 - (-4)) = -2/10 = -1/5.

Anon, if you can remember that slope is rise/run then it is easy because only the y values can go up or down!

So the y values MUST be on the top!
