The slope of a line is \(\frac{y2-y1}{x2-x1}\) . So we get \(\frac{1-3}{3-(-4)} = \frac{-2}{7}\). So it's A. but you got the negative on the wrong side of the 2.

Note  2/-7   and -2/7    are the same thing

 

So  LT's answer is correct....
