The surface area of a cylinder is: 2pi*r^2 + 2pi*r*h.

We just need to plug in r = 9 and h = 20 -->

Surface area = 2pi*(9^2) + 2pi*9*20 -->

(2*pi*81) + (2*pi*9*20) = 1639.9113651738720705 square inches.
