First one....convert   -7pi/4   to a positve measure =

2pi -7pi/4  =

8pi/4 -7pi/4 =

pi/4

So.....tan  pi /4  =  tan 45°  =  1/1   = 1

Second one

sec pi/6   =  sec 30°

Note hat cos 30° =  √3/2

So.....the secant here is the reciprocal of this  = 2 /√3   =  2√3

                                                                                          ____

                                                                                             3

Last one

cos 23pi /6

Convert  23pi/6  into  degree measure

23pi /6  x   180 /pi  =       23 * (180/6)  = 23 * 30   = 690°

And 690 - 360  =   330°

So....this is a 30° reference angle in the 4th quadrant

cos (330)  =  cos (30)  = √3/2
