sin θ = opposite / hypotenuse

sin (60º) = x / 8

 

Multiply both sides by 8.

8sin(60º) = x

 

From looking at a unit circle, we can see that sin(60º) = √3 / 2, so..

8( √3 / 2 ) = x

 

4√3 = x
