2x + 4y  = 6     to fid the y intercept, let x  = 0

2(0) + 4y  = 6

4y  = 6    divide both sides by 4

y = 6/4  =  3/2  ⇒  y intercept

To find the y-intercept, the first step is to substitute x for 0. You will get 4y = 6. Divide both sided by 4 to get y = 1.5.

The y-intercept is 1.5.
