-2(3x +5) = -3(4x + 3)

Simplifying on the right and the left, we have

-6x -10 = -12x - 9

Add 12x to both sides

6x - 10 = -9    

Add 10 to both sides

6x = 1

Divide both sides by 6

x = 1/6

Let's check this in the original problem to make sure it "works"

-2[3(1/6) +5] = -3[4(1/6) + 3]    ???

-2[1/2 + 5] = -3[2/3 + 3]  ???

-2[11/2] = -3[11/3]   ???

- 11  =  -11   ....and that's true !!!
