Solve for x over the real numbers:
3 2^(x+2)-7 = 24

Add 7 to both sides:
3 2^(x+2) = 31

Divide both sides by 3:
2^(x+2) = 31/3

Take the logarithm base 2 of both sides:
x+2 = (log(31/3))/(log(2))

Subtract 2 from both sides:
Answer: | x = (log(31/3))/(log(2))-2   =1.36923380..............
