What is the sign beween the fractions suppposed to be???
The second equality sign is the reference to the question, is the result x = -50 correct?
Greeting asinus :- ) !
(x-4)/6 = (x+5)/5
\(\frac{x-4}{6}=\frac{x+5}{5}\) Multiply crosswise
\(5x-20=6x+30\) Change of sides with change of sign
\(5x-6x=30+20\) add
\(-x=50\) Multiply on both sides -1
\(x=-50\)
