what is x squared + 20 squared = 22 squared

x^2 + 20^2  = 22^2

x^2 + 400 = 484     subtract 400 from both sides

x^2 = 84    take the square roor of both sides

x = √84 =√[4 * 21] =√4 * √21  = 2√21
