I want to take the lowest estimate of how long humans have been on the earth for (100,000 years) to find out roughly how much ancestors an individual has. If we estimate a new generation comes about every 30 years that leaves us with 3333 generations rounded down.

So what is 2 to the power of 3333 in short and or long form? My calculator just fails when trying to answer this.

I'd go for a new generation closer to every 20 years but we can do it your way. :)

\(Let\;\;\\y=2^{3333}\\ logy=log2^{3333}\\ logy=3333log2\\ logy\approx1003.332976\\ 10^{logy}\approx10^{1003.332976}\\ y\approx 10^{0.332976}\times 10^{1003}\\ y\approx 2.152662771\times 10^{1003}\\ \)

I selected 30 because that gives room for inbreeding (gross thought but it probably happpened)

In breeding always happens. If you go back enough generations you and I would most likely be related.

I don't get the relevance.  I'm not saying that it is not relevant I am just missing the logic :/

It's not important to the maths logic anyway :))

All well and good, but a generation is genearally considered to be 20 - 25 years.

Sorry maybe i should have said incest instead of interbreeding. For example if a dad had s*x with his daughter and that resulted in a child then that would affect the calculation in terms of generations. Also I'm sorry I'm not fimilar with advanced math, is the last line in your answer the final answer to the question? You lost me a bit lol
