when i put the square root of -64 it said that it was equal to 8i what is that? i feel stupid asking this question but oh well haha thanks

"i' is an "imaginary" number......it has the property that  i^2 = -1  or, to put it another way, i =√-1

So we have

√(-64) = √[(-1)(64)] = √(-1)*√64  = i*8  or just 8*i  = 8i

Does that make sense??
