When will the dependent variable in the equation y=sqrt x+4-3 equal or exceed 4???
A- x >=-0.17
B- x >= 45
C- x >= 48
D- x >= 53
sqrt(x+4) - 3 ≥ 4
⇔ sqrt(x+4) ≥ 7
⇔ x+4 ≥ 49
⇔ x ≥ 45

B. √(45 +4) - 3 = √49 - 3 = 7 - 3 = 4.
C. and D. will result in √(x +4) - 3 > 4
A. will result in √(x +4) - 3 < 4
.
Thanks Alan and Badinage :)
I would have used your method Badinage but both ways are good :)
