where is the % symbol?

The % stands for percent. Percent mens "per hundred". With other words % means a fraction with 100 as denominator (number on the bottom). 

41 % = 41/100

97 % = 97/100

3% = 3/100

50 % = 50/100 = 1/2

Usually, we talk about percentages OF something. For example:

In a poker club there is 20 members. On a certain night, 40 % of them meet up to play.

We see that:

"40% of 20" means 40% * 20 = 40/100 * 20 = 0,4 *20 = 8 

So we know that 8 members meet up to play poker that night. 

65% is      65/100

Or if you want you final answer to display as a percent then multiply it by 100 and add the percent sign yourself.  😉
