Which answer describes the function f(x) = 2x^3 - x^2

Here's an easy way to test this

 

If even, then f(-x) = f(x)

 

So f(-x) =  2(-x)^3 - (-x)^2   =    -2x^3  - x^2  ........not the same as f(x)....so not even

 

If odd, then   -f(x) = f(-x)

 

But  - f(x)  =  - [ 2x^3 - x^2 ]  =  -2x^3 + x^2

 

But this is not equal to   f(-x).....so....not odd, either

 

So

 

Neither
