Which answer describes the function f(x) = 2x^3 - x^2
neither
odd
even
Here's an easy way to test this
If even, then f(-x) = f(x)
So f(-x) = 2(-x)^3 - (-x)^2 = -2x^3 - x^2 ........not the same as f(x)....so not even
If odd, then -f(x) = f(-x)
But - f(x) = - [ 2x^3 - x^2 ] = -2x^3 + x^2
But this is not equal to f(-x).....so....not odd, either
So
Neither
