( x^2 -16)               ( x - 4) ( x + 4)

_________  =       ____________  =    x +  4

   ( x - 4)                   ( x - 4)

This is a line with a slope of 1   that   has a y intercept of 4

And we have a "hole"   on this line at  at

x - 4  = 0

x  = 4

And when x  =4 , y  =  (4) + 4  = 8

So  the graph  three down on the right is the  correct one ....
