Which of the following represents the expression 18(9^x) rewritten in the form F x G^(2x+2)?

A 2 x 2^(2x+2)

B 3 x 2^(2x+2)

C 2 x 3^(2x+2)

D 3 x 3^(2x+2)

I know the answer is c, but i got that from the caculator. I dont know how to do it without one. Can someone kindly explain it to me? Thank you.

You got it right!

C)  2 x 3^(2x+2). This can be written like this:

      2 x 3^(2x) x 3^2

      2 x 3^2 x 3^(2x)

      2 x 9 x (3^2)^x

      18     x    9^x

    =  18(9^x)
