which set of numbers can be the measures of the sides of a triangle; 12,9,2 or

3,3,7 or 2,4,6  or 7,7,1

3,3,7 won't work because  3 + 3 < 7 .... and this violates the Triangle Inequality  which says that, for all non-degenerate triangles, the sum of any two sides of a triangle is greater than the remaining side

The correct answer is the last set

1, 7, 7  .....  7 + 1 > 7  and 7 + 7 > 1
