4/12 = 1/12 + 1/12 + 1/6 - This is one way.
But since 4/12 = 1/3, then you can have infinite number of solutions!
Example =1/3 =1/4 + 1/16 + 1/48...........and so on.

There are infinitely many ratios equivalent to the one given, \(\frac{4}{12}\) . Some examples are \(\frac{1}{3}\text{ and }\frac{2}{6}\text{ and }\frac{3}{9}\text{ and }\frac{5}{15}\) , just to name a few.
