Why does math exist and have to get so technical?

It's overly confusing, and hard to understand. You hardly ever use it in the real world. angry

You know it is really sad that sometimes maths makes you want to cry in class.

I understand. I have rarely felt like this with mathematics but sometimes I will be trying to learn a new concept,  usually a technical one, and I do not understand anything my try-hard teacher is trying to teach me and it makes me feel absolutely miserable.  So I do understand.   :(

I have no instant fix for this.  I can suggest that you put the most effort into things that are just a bit hard.  Try to perfect those.  Don't worry too much about stuff that is way over your head.

I coach individual students in my home.  I don't worry too much about what they are doing in school.  I teach them stuff that is at their level.  When they acheive at this they gain confidence.  When they gain confidence they then start liking maths, maybe just a little, then they start being prepared to listen, even in class.

These are good kids, they thought they were listening before, but really they were so busy thinking "I dont' understand, I will never understand" that they really were not listening, or at least they were not trying to comprehend, at all.  Once they start listening in class, the bulk of my work as a tutor is just about done.  If they keep coming to me it may just help them keep listening in class but the main thing they need is the self confidence to learn from other sources.

So see if you can work on your confidence.  I know everyone cannot go to a good tutor but maybe you can pull something out of what i have said that will help you. ://

Always remember, your high school years will only be a short part of you life.  If mathematics is really not your thing then you will not have to deal with it a great deal of it when you escape school.  So, try not to let it overwealm you or make you miserable.  Just cope the best you can and get on with enjoying your life.
