NO IT DOESN'T

 

$$x^{k}+x^{k}+x^{k}=3x^{k}\\\\

x^{k}\times x^{k}\times x^{k}=x^{k+k+k} = x^{3k}\\\\

x^k \times x = x^k \times x^1 = x^{k+1}$$
