Why doesn't the = button work with dividing fractions?

If you click on the symbol to the right of the input bar on the home page calculator you get a drop down menu from which you can select fractions. This doesn't work as it should! I guess this is what the questioner is referring to.

I am sure it does work. Just remember that to divide fractions you have to multiply by the recipical. For instance; if you needed to solve for "x" in this equasion, "1/2x = 2" you would have to multiply both sides by the recipical of 1/2. In other words it would look like this, "1/2x * 2/1 = 2 * 2/1"
