Why is 2*(pi/6)=(pi/3) and not 2pi?

If we consider this in terms of degrees, pi/6 = 30° ....So, 2*(pi/6) = (2*30°) = pi/3 = 60°

But, 2*pi = (2 * 180°) = 360°
