why is pi called pi when its a never ending number???????????????
➤➤ why is pi called pi when its a never ending number???????????????
Well, what would you like it to be called? Do you have a better suggestion? One big advantage of naming it Pi is that the character $$\mathbf{\pi}$$ is not easily confused with any other alpha-numeric character.
Its decimal expansion is never ending, but it's a real finite number (a little bigger than 3 but smaller than 4). There are an infinite number of numbers with never ending decimal expansions, but they are no less real for that, and some of them have names too!
