Why is the sky blue?

Wow.. You're really bored, but besides that the earths atmosphere bends light waves and the way they curve and bounce off of the moisture in earths atmosphere makes them blue

(spoiler alert this is a non serious answer).

The sky is blue because there is a giant wailord (pokemon) in the sky.
