+831 we have to learn the basic math like Divide, Multiplication, addition and subtraction so we can fit in to society a little better but Algebra? I dont know. its really just busy work. Well thats how i see it at least.
Without higher math, you won't succeed in high school, much less in college. If your profession requires it, then you'll need it then as well. And you can't really know your profession until you adopt one. So I'd say your best bet is to push through it all now and use it until you don't need it anymore, which could either be the end of high school, college, or your profession.
