will you solve the system:

3x-6y=-3

2x-3=y

Can you show me the work as well?

first equation: 3x-6y=-3   6y=3x+3   2y=x+1   y=(1/2)x+1/2

second equation: 2x-3=y   y=2x-3

together: 2x-3=(1/2)x+1/2   4x-6=x+1   3x=7   x=7/3

plug it in: y=2x-3=2(7/3)-3=14/3-9/3=5/3   y=5/3

              y=(1/2)(7/3)+1/2=7/6+3/6=10/6=5/3   y=5/3

point of intercept is (7/3,5/3)

3x - 6y = -3
2x - 3 = y

Make both sides even in terms of placement of variables.

3x + 3 = 6y

2x - 3 = y

Cancel out the 'x's.

6x + 6 = 12y

-6x + 9 = -3y

6 = 12y

9 = -3y

Combine like terms.

15 = 9y

Simplify.

5/3 = y

Plug in 'y' to either equation.

3x - 6(5/3) = -3

3x - 10 = -3

3x = 7

x = 7/3

The solution is (7/3, 5/3)

You know GoldenLeaf, I have never seen anyone do simultaneous equations quite like that before.
