In a class 24 students 6 play basketball. What percentage do they play basketball?
\(\frac{6}{24}*100=25\) per cent
In order to find a percentage:
\(\frac{number}{total}*100\)
Where the number is how many/much do or do not (according to question)
If this question asked how many don't play basketball then
The number of those who don't play will be the rest (Excluding those 6)
so 24-6=18
\(\frac{18}{24}*100=75\) per cent.
the simpler way was to subtract 25 per cent from 100 per cent.
