Please do not post two questions that are almost identical.

Learn from the first one and then copy the technique oand do the second one by yourself!

The sum of the squares of 2 positive consecutive odd numbers is 1230. Find the numbers?

 

Let the numbers be 2x+1 and 2x+3          x>=0

 

\((2x+1)^2+(2x+3)^2 = 1230\\ \)

you can probably finish it :)

I don't think there is an answer in whole numbers that solves this.

23 and 25    results in  1154   too small

25 and 27 results in    1354    too big
